Art: The siren by Horrific beauty
Said one oyster to a neighboring oyster;
"I have a very great pain within me. It is heavy and round and I am in distress."
And the other oyster replied with haughty complacence;
"Praise be to the heavens and to the sea, I have no pain within me. I am well and whole both within and without."
At that moment a crab was passing by and heard the two oysters, and he said to the one who was well and whole both within and without;
"Yes, you are well and whole; but the pain that your neighbor bears is a pearl of exceeding beauty."
And the other oyster replied with haughty complacence;
"Praise be to the heavens and to the sea, I have no pain within me. I am well and whole both within and without."
At that moment a crab was passing by and heard the two oysters, and he said to the one who was well and whole both within and without;
"Yes, you are well and whole; but the pain that your neighbor bears is a pearl of exceeding beauty."
Words: Khalil Gibran
ah, thank you for that . . . having walked around for so long with such a pain within . . .now I know why.

Monica,
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI am looking forward to your dark tales! I have missed your voice.
Good to see you!
Brian
Dear Monica, the old fairy tales, the real ones, before they were made pretty and tidy for weak minds, were very dark indeed - the better to teach life lessons! I am looking forward to seeing what happens in this space you have set aside specially for things that cannot grow in the light. Sometimes those are the most beautiful creations of all...
BeantwoordenVerwijderenWhat a lovely piece of writing, my dear. Gibran is a master of the human soul. And I so love this idea... as only you can probably imagine. This new blog... to feed your soul. Yes, I understand. I KNOW you will enjoy it. And here I am, to share your journey with you.

yes..there's beauty amid that darkness. i think dark tales hold a place we're all drawn to, as it's something we each inherently have within us..whether we care to admit it or not.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenlove the space you have created here..
xx
Your welcome Whitney-anne. It's a comforting story right?
BeantwoordenVerwijderenBeautiful Harry! Thank you so very much!
Tnx dear Brian! Good to see you as well.... My voice never will be silent my friend. Sometimes it's mixed up with the rumours of the world, but it still is there.
xoxo
Dear Gabriella,
yes you're right. One of my favourite fairytales is the little mermaid. But NOT the Disney version. The real one, in which she diesat the end. Disney completely misunderstood the tale i think and ruined the beauty of it.
Always nice to see you and listten to your words.
xoxo
yes Nevine, i love the words of Gibran a lot!
They comfort the worried soul.
And i'm happy you see clear Nevine and travel with me.
Yes Green whisper without darkness there would not be light, we all have also our dark side.
Glad you love this new space! I'm happy with it as well.
xx
